As I mentioned, I'm just about to order a pair of EV SXA360s.

My question to the pros here is this:
I'm used to a pair of 15"s and I'm ok with it (except for the weight!!).

Would these EV SXA360 speakers handle 200 or more people without the (notorious) need of a subwoofer?

Thanks in advance.

I auditioned the SxA360 and it is and excellent speaker. Of course it depends on the size of the room, but IMO, a pair should easily handle 200 people, with plenty to spare. They have excellent bottom and put out lots of volume.

I use to use a Yorkville KB300 stereo amp with a pair of 10's and horns..It easily handled jobs with up to 400 people..

I am sure the 12's will do your job, but if they are on poles , I think they would lack the quality of good bottom..

I have a pair of Mackie 3000Ci 12" 2-ways and they sound great thru my Mackie 808s. They can handle 200 people easily,

But, they sound even better when I plug in my 12" EV SXb121a sub. It's about the same size and weight as the Mackies and just makes a world of difference I would not have imagined (because the Mackies sound so good by them selves.

Just something to keep in your back poscket for future reference.

Cassp,

I cant find that EV SXb121a sub anywhere. Is it a discontinued product?
